  EVENT :: OKOROIRE MID WINTER FUN RIDE
This is NOT a race.
40km or 70km options to ride flat to undulating country roads in the Waikato. This is our 14th. running of this event. Held regardless of weather conditions( unless considered too dangerous) Last year we had over 800 riders participate.Due to the increased numbers, this years event will have Electronic timing, by Times-7 Sport
Ideal for 1st time event riders and great also for the experienced wanting to keep in shape over winter.
( Normal road rules apply.)

Helpful Notes: Entries received after WEDNESDAY JULY 25th.will be at 70.00 (inlcuding those on the day) On Line entries will close midnight Friday 27th 2012 ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED ON THE DAY SUBJECT TO THE 1000 RIDER MAXIMIN
Riders briefing will be held at 9.45am. All must attend.
40km ride is mostly flat with a couple of gentle climbs after leaving Tirau. A very achievable ride. This ride start 5 mins. behind the 70km ride.
The 70km ride share the same initial 20km and then heads south along the Waikato river towards Arapuni. From here the road becomes undulating all the way back through Putaruru,and Tirau.
The fast riders take around 2 hours with the slower ones being in by 1.30pm in time for prize giving. (spot prizes only, as this is NOT a race)
