RACE INFORMATION Property Brokers Country Feilding Half Marathon
TITLE SPONSOR: Property Brokers Ltd take great pleasure in teaming up with Feilding Moa Harriers to sponsor the Property Brokers Country Feilding Half Marathon.
Property Brokers have 19 branches throughout the lower North Island and we enjoy being able to give back to the community in which we work and live. Look out for some of the Property Brokers team who have accepted the challenge to take part and others forming part of the support crew.
Running and walking is something the whole family can share together just about anywhere with a minimum of equipment. So grab your friends and family together, get started with some fun training, then complete the event together.
Events like this are only possible due to the many club members and volunteers who pitch in and the other generous sponsors. To all these we say a big thank you. THE COURSE: We offer a fast measured and certified out-and-back course of 21.097km, mostly along quiet rural Manawatu roads. All three races, the 5km, 10km and ½ marathon start and finish at Feilding High School on the corner of North St and Churcher St. It goes north to Roots St East, then Pharazyn St,Reids Line East, Pharazyn Rd, Brewsters Rd (10km turnaround here), Makino Rd. Each kilometre will be marked.

ENTRIES: Online entries close as late as 26th February - enter the Half Marathon run or walk before 31 January for the early bird discount. Half Marathon Entries will be accepted right up to the day but may be subject to a late fee of $5.(NOTE - no late fee applies for the 5km and 10km)
REFUNDS: We are runners too so we know injuries & illness can happen and despite your best plans you can't make it to Friendly Feilding. If you do need to withdraw, email the Race Manager. Withdrawals up to 21 February will be refunded the entry fee less $5.00 admin. fee. Refunds after this date are entirely at the discretion of the Race Manager
REGISTRATION/RACE NUMBERS: Register on race day from 8:00am at Race HQ in the Feilding High Gymnasium where you will be allocated a race number. Half marathon and 10km entrants will be issued a race number to be worn on the front of the singlet/shirt and should be clearly visible at all times especially near the finish line. 5km Entrants will receive a Vivid number on the back of the hand
START TIMES: Participants must attend a compulsory race briefing 5 minutes prior to Start. Half Marathon Walk 9:00am Half Marathon Run 10:00am 10km Run/Walk 10:10am 5km Run/Walk 10:20am
DRINK STATIONS: manned water stations at approximately 5km, 10km,15km and 18km.

PRIZE and CERTIFICATES: All finishers will receive a certificate. Minor Spot prizes for 5km and 10km events will be available for collection at the finish area. Merit prizes for place getters in the Half Marathon Run and Walk and major Spot Prizes will be awarded at prize giving - details to be advised of this shortly. Feedback has been to try to get prizegiving under way as soon as we can after the events.

RACE RULES:- There are no road closures. Competitors enter the event at their own risk.
- Competitors must not be accompanied by cyclists, vehicle or animals
- Competitors must follow the course as marked and adhere to the directions given by race officials and or police at all times
- Runners may walk but walkers may not run. There will be a walking referee on the course and any decisions they make will be final.
- All forms of walking are permitted including recreational, power walking and race walking. If you intend to walk-run, please enter in the Runner section. Should the Race Referee deem that an individuals walking style more resembles “jogging”, they will be 'promoted' as a Runner and ineligible for any merit prize.
- The organisers reserve the right to withdraw any competitor from the course should they consider continuing may be injurious to the competitors own health
ROAD SAFETY: No roads are closed during the event. While we are mostly on rural roads, vehicles including stock trucks, milk tankers and tractors may be encountered. Unless otherwise instructed by course officials or police competitors should run within 1-metre of the right hand side of the road, facing oncoming traffic and inside and marker cones. Walk/run no more than 2 abreast at all times.
